Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies; or Software Engineering; or Computer Science; or Information Systems Management plus a Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which must have been served at the level of a Principal Warehouse Systems Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Institution
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner, Warehouse Receipt System for performing the following duties:-
– Coordinating development and maintenance of the Electronic Warehouse Receipt System;
-Developing and implementing strategies that align business objectives;
-Supervising identification and evaluation of emerging technologies to enhance business operations;
Establishing security controls and monitoring performance of the Electronic Warehouse Receipt System;
-Coordinating development of protocols for analysis, testing and recommending warehouse devices, equipment and software for approval;
-Supervising testing and certifying of warehouse equipment and software;
-Coordinating development of Market Information System for the benefit of depositors and buyers;
– Preparing work plans and budgets;
-Monitoring development of e-registries for information sharing with Financial Institutions and other stakeholders;
-Supervising and appraising staff;
-Preparing and submitting periodic reports;
