Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; or Business Administration; or Public Administration; or Management; or Commerce; or Entrepreneurship; or International Trade; or Micro-finance; or Business Studies plus a Masters Degree in any of the above-mentioned fields from a recognized University/ Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience; three (3) of which must have been served at the level of Principal Inspection and Licensing Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner; Warehouse Receipt for performing the following duties:-
– Coordinating inspection and licensing of warehouse facilities, personnel and commodities;
– Coordinating classification and grading of warehouse facilities;
– Monitoring warehouse facilities for compliance to the set standards and quality expectations;
-Establishing and maintaining collaborating linkages with stakeholders on the Warehouse Receipts Management;
– Formulating standards and guidelines for establishing warehouses;
-Coordinating research to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance quality and efficiency of the Warehouse Receipts Systems in the country;
-Supervising and appraising staff;
-Coordinating establishment of quality management systems (ISO 9001) at warehouses across the Country.
-Coordinating Department’s activities with the Standards bodies, such as UNBS, in regard to development, implementation and review of standards
– Preparing and submitting periodic reports.
– Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
