DUTIES:
- Assists in the daily operations registration process.
- Assists in maintaining the class schedule.
- Coordinates enrollment of students in appropriate coursework.
- Maintains current policy and procedure manual. Inform staff and other school stakeholders of changes, modifications, and interpretations resulting from new or current policy.
- Monitors records and registration for each program and updates students’ status.
- Assists in providing strategic planning and direction of registration and records, and determinations of student academic status including academic probations and dismissals for the undergraduate program.
- Provides and implement recommendations to improve record management.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements technological tools and products that will enhance the web-based presence and social media programming capabilities of the office.
- Manages records and registration staff. Ensures efficient recruitment/interviewing and training functions to continually review strengths and weaknesses in maintaining a staff of well-trained, highly involved, and motivated employees. Perform administrative duties such as staff supervision, performance evaluation, budgetary tracking, report formulation, and quality assurance functions.
- Provides training to school employees on registration procedure and software as needed.
- Provides policy guidance regarding the registration process to students and faculty.
- Prepare mandated reports ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy for student data and in compliance with all regulations and requirements. Facilitates and ensures records and registration adherence to university, school, and agency policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in academic records and registration. Experience working with complex data systems required. Knowledge of both the technical and operational aspects of systems used by the Office of the Registrar. Experience working in a higher education setting preferred. Prior Banner/DegreeWorks experience preferred. Prior experience working with graduate and professional students preferred.
Supervisory Experience: One (1) year of direct supervision or responsibility for training, work coordination, and monitoring work of others.
Other: Related experience may be substituted for education. Clery act designated job as campus security authorities (CSA) member and will comply with Clery Act requirements.
