Reporting to Supervisor – Belt Splicing and Rubber Lining, you will be responsible for the establishment of preventative and responsive maintenance and development within the Crushers and Process area, to ensure maximum operational performance is achieved in a safe and cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, polices, legal requirements and consent conditions.

Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following;

• Review of the maintenance tasks and procedures including JSA and SWP.
• Responsible of day-to-day inspections, maintenance of the conveyor belt, structures and conveyor belt idlers.
• Complete all PM sheet and other job-related paper works to a high standard and quality focusing on the accurate information.
• Able to work on both Fabric and Steel code conveyor belts.
• Maintain a positive interaction and professional work ethics through effective, honest communication with the Supervisor and all other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues associated with break down and corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping in the work area during and after completion of the job/task.

To be considered for the position, one must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum a Certificate in Conveyor Belts Splicing
• Two (2) years’ experience working with fabric and steel code conveyor belts
• Demonstrate some experience with both rubber lining and tiling of hoppers, launders, and lagging of pullies
• Ability to do cold and hot conveyor belt repairs
• Good communication skills in the English language
• Familiar with safe work practices
