Responsibilities

  • Profitability of business, quality of product and support services delivered to customer. Meeting sales budget and timely execution of all Sales activities.
  • Identify business opportunities for Solar/Renewable Energy products/Projects/Services with focus on EPC projects for solar power solutions
  • Identify and select Products/Technologies/Vendors/Service Providers/Tools to convert opportunities in to revenue streams and manage operations of the Solar/Renewable business.
  • Liaison with the necessary Nigerian Government agencies, funding agencies (DFID/Crown Agents, World Bank, IFC, Bank of Industry) for regulatory support, project funding, policy framework and promotion of Solar energy to Power/Agricultural/Industrial applications.
  • Liaise with external investors to raise capital to facilitate expansion plans
  • Experience, ability and capacity to develop Solar Mini/Micro Grids.
  • Implement customized hybrid renewable energy and Gas to power projects
  • Manage asset ownership (energy as a service) business
  • Attend power industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Identify internal infrastructure to operate business segment with commercial viability.
  • Ensuring presentation of proposals is in line with company directives.
  • Responsible for correct financial margins in accordance with budgets & correct selection of price mark up for equipment
  • Responsible for the development of a team to support the business activities
  • Co-ordination with the in-house engineering team on proposals and proper installation of the equipment as per manufacturers’ guidelines
  • Co-ordinate with Service Department to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for compliance with ISO system for business processes

Education and/or Professional Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees in relevant disciplines, Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 10- 15years relevant work experience in similar position

Essential Skills / Knowledge:

  • Hands on experience in managing a Solar/Renewable energy business with more than 10years’ experience
  • Experience and relationships within the Nigerian power sector pertaining to close industry trends
  • Experience with customized renewable solution projects
  • Nigerian experience required
  • Team leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skill

Desirable Skills / Knowledge:

  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
