To oversee the effective setting of the overall strategy and vision of the Company and ensuring that the organization meets its objectives of the effective and efficient provision of solid waste management services in order to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment in furtherance of the mandate specified in the Solid Waste Regulation Management Act and Board of Directors directives.

Main Duties and Accountabilities (Without Limitation)
 Oversee effectively the provision of solid waste services in order to facilitate the collection, transportation and disposal of waste.
 Evaluate effectively the provision of commercial and consumer services in order to facilitate proposal of competitive tariffs and establishment of a billing system for management of solid waste services.
 Oversee effectively the formulation and implementation of community based solid waste programmes in order to promote participation and behavioral change towards solid waste management.
 Determine effectively the management of business enterprises for the Institution in order to generate income and sustain operations.
 Ensure effectively the provision of legal services in order to safeguard the interest of the Institution.
 Superintend effectively over the provision of Secretariat Services to the Board in order to facilitate the conduct of business.

 Oversee effectively the provision of ICT Services in order to facilitate communication and management of information.
 Monitor effectively the identification and management of risks in order to implement appropriate mitigation measures.
 Oversee effectively the conduct of research on topical and emerging issues in order to generate information for informed decision making.
 Oversee effectively the monitoring and evaluation of Institutional programmes in order to facilitate the development of appropriate interventions.
 Oversee effectively the utilization of human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate attainment of Institutional objectives.

REQUIREMENTS
 Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
 A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or Social/Business Sciences.
 Possession of Master’s Degree (MBA, MSc, MA etc.) or postgraduate qualification in Environmental or General Management or Development Studies or Public Policy & Regulation will be an added advantage.
 Ten 10 years work experience of which 5 should be at senior management level in a reputable organization.
