Minimum requirements:
- Education: An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: engineering, public health and WASH, social sciences, behavior change communication, or another relevant technical field. Additional courses and experiences complement/supplement the main degree are required; especially in development financing, climate change adaptation and green energy solutions in WASH or related field.
- At least one year of deployment in a developing country is required.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team to deliver results is required. At least one year working in a humanitarian setting is desired.
- Work Experience: A minimum of eight years of professional experience in WASH related programming is required.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset
Desirables:
- Demonstrated experience of advocacy in WASH (or a related field) sector resource mobilization is required.
- Demonstrated experience in effective WASH sector coordination is required, including private sector engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in managing EU-funded programmes is highly desirable
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
