Key Areas of Accountabilities:
- Actively participate and contribute to Child protection Task force meeting and Child protection committee meeting.
- Coordinate and contribute to community-based child protection system and psychosocial support.
- Establish of effective community-based case management and care arrangement. For UAM and Separated children
- Building and enriching effective child protection networks at all levels and connecting them as fully as possible through child protection committee and refugee central committee
- Coordinate Family tracing and reunification activities (identification, interviewing, verification, interim care arrangement and family reunification) of UAM/SC in the camp
- Ensure that child protection interventions are informed by and integrated with other core sectors of education, health, nutrition, food security and livelihoods.
- In collaboration with procurement staffs and camp coordinator purchase the necessary materials and equipment’s for Child protection activities
- Arrange proper referral systems like health issues, Disabilities, GBV with other IPS to provide the necessary assistance for EVC (Extremely Vulnerable Children)
- Prepare job description and assist R department during recruitment of CP assistant, supervisors and refugee volunteers.
- Organize proper orientation and pr service training for newly recruited staffs.
- Training for child protection assistants, supervisors and volunteers on child protection and child right concepts, FTR, Case management, Psychosocial support
- Strengthening the existing Community structure, Child protection committee and care givers through training and awareness raising activities.
- Ensure that all children who arrive in our CFC are properly registered and have safe care as long as they stay there.
- Ensure that CFS is properly staffed throughout opening hours. Ensure a system for correct attendance and absence for our volunteers and the rest of the staff. The CP officer is responsible for taking necessary disciplinary action when absence/ delayed attendance is reported.

Minimum Requirements:
- Preferred degree in social work, childcare or related from a recognized college/ University.
- Working experience related to child protection or childcare, preferred from an NGO/emergency work.
- Special Training On child protection
- Good command in written and spoken English and Somali language.
- Good human relation skills.
- Basic skills in computer applications.
