Job description

  • Safely transport cash, valuables, and assets between locations, following designated routes and schedules.
  • Must be able to drive diesel engine
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre- and post-operational inspections of the CIT vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Security Procedures: Adhere to strict security protocols, including the use of safety equipment, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures.
  • Cash Handling: Securely handle, count, and store cash and valuables during transportation, maintaining a chain of custody.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to security incidents, robberies, and emergencies, following established procedures and coordinating with law enforcement.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, road rules, and industry standards during CIT operations.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Report any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements promptly and ensure the vehicle is kept in excellent condition.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Interact professionally with clients and customers during cash deliveries and pickups, providing courteous and efficient service.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with CIT crew members, dispatch, and other relevant parties.
  • Documentation:
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation, including delivery records, incident reports, and maintenance logs.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 3 – 5 years relevant work experience.

Competencies:

  • Security Consciousness: A deep understanding of Diesel engine, safety procedures, and the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times during CIT operations.
  • Emergency Response: Proficiency in responding to security incidents, robberies, and emergencies, including the ability to remain calm and follow established emergency response procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Skill in assessing security risks and evaluating potential threats during transportation.
  • Compliance: A commitment to strict compliance with all safety regulations, road rules, and industry standards governing CIT operations.
  • Cash Handling: Secure handling, counting, and storage of cash, valuables, and assets during transportation, maintaining a chain of custody and ensuring minimal discrepancies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Awareness: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, including conducting pre- and post-operational vehicle inspections and promptly reporting maintenance requirements.
  • Customer Interaction: Professional and courteous interaction with clients and customers during cash deliveries and pickups, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Communication: Effective communication with CIT crew members, dispatch, and other relevant parties, maintaining clear and timely updates on the status of CIT operations.
  • Documentation: Strong record-keeping skills for completing and maintaining required documentation, including delivery records, incident reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Route Efficiency: Ability to follow designated routes and schedules efficiently, optimizing time and resources.

Skills:

  • Exceptional Driving Skills: Mastery of advanced diesel engine, including defensive driving, maneuvering through traffic, and safe operation of an armored vehicle.
  • Safety Equipment Usage: Proficiency in using safety equipment, including personal protective gear, surveillance systems, and other security tools.
  • Firearms Handling (If required): Mastery of the safe and responsible use of firearms, including training and permits as required by local regulations.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy cash containers and equipment.
  • Navigation Skills: Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and route planning tools for efficient transportation.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response: Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures to provide immediate assistance in case of injuries to team members or others.
  • Adaptability: The capacity to adapt to changing security threats, technology, and operational requirements during CIT operations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other CIT crew members and provide support and assistance as needed.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills to adhere to schedules and meet delivery and pickup deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in security protocols, route navigation, and cash handling to prevent errors or security breaches.
