Content Development
- Collaborate with the Senior IMO, Head of HIST, to develop communication content and materials for iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia HIST
- Reach out to national and regional iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia team members to identify communications topics showcasing activities and impact of the Country office
- Develop and produce high-quality visual, digital, and written content for iMMAP Inc., including blog posts, presentations, infographics, videos, and other related media.
- Collaborate with the HQ Communications Team to ensure that all content is consistent with iMMAP Inc.’s branding guidelines and standards.
- Research and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in content creation.
- Support the iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia team in the development of engaging reports including reviewing of documents for grammar, spelling, and consistency with iMMAP Inc. brand templates.
Communication focal point
Gather written and visual content, develop, and share iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia newsletters, manage contact lists for these newsletters,
Update fact sheets, reports, and the Global Surge section of the website as needed,
Ensure all products such as reports, templates, and visibility items for iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia team meet iMMAP Inc. communication guidelines and branding.
Provide induction training sessions and internal support on implementation of internal communication guidelines and iMMAP Inc. brand,
Write accurate and compelling articles and success stories regarding the iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia program,
In consultation with the iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia country director and senior management team, develop social media posts to share on iMMAP Inc. social media accounts,
Support the iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia Capacity Building team to prepare high quality video and graphics content for online learning platform and support the preparation of visibility products.
Engage with partners at national level to support synergetic communication and advocacy.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field from a recognized institution,
A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
Three years of professional experience, prior experience with development or humanitarian organizations desirable
Experience working in development of materials for information management and/or technology-based topics is desirable
Proven experience of curating content for various social media platforms
Knowledge of other social media tools such as hashtag generator, social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc., is a plus,
Experience in evolving in a complex, multiple stakeholders and dynamic environment is a must.
