The Community Field Facilitators will work with stakeholders at the community /district levels to support the implementation of the Project’s activities, Facilitate and supervise project activities in the project location and communities within the ABOCFA (Aponoapono) and Asetenapa (Obretema)communities
The Community Field Facilitator will be responsible for coordinating quality programming and results, financial management and compliance, stakeholder and partner relations, and donor deliverables at community level.
He/she is responsible for program planning, implementation, and reporting in compliance with donor and government agreements. The post-holder will be based in the project location and communities within the ABOCFA (Aponoapono) and Asetenapa (Obretema)communities the Suhum Municipality for approximately 90% of her/his time.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/ High National Diploma (HND) in a relevant area e.g. Community Development, Development Studies, Social Studies. A degree in Public Health or relevant area would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other ICT skills
- Previous experience in community mobilization and engagement
Key skills & Competencies
- Skills in community organization and meeting facilitation
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and with multi- and interdisciplinary teams
- Must have valid Motorbike license and experience in ridding in rough terrain
- Proficiency in reading and speaking any of the following languages: Akuapem Twi, Asanti Twi, Krobo
- Should be familiar with the culture of project districts
- Ability to drive motor bike is an added advantage;
- Strong knowledge of the Rights of Child;
- Strong team-building and motivational skills;
- Strong negotiating, facilitating and influencing skills
