Job description

  • Perform Due diligence and know your customer (KYC) review on customers, as part of the business wide due diligence process.
  • Assess the completeness and quality of “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and Customer Due diligence procedure documentation, for new and existing higher-risk customers to ensure that required enhanced due diligence efforts and documentation are in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Carry out varying levels of research, investigation, depending on the complexity of the case and make a decision taking into account all available information.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently across business channels to obtain needed customer due diligence or enhanced due diligence information.
  • Advise Compliance Manager on risk assessments; monitoring and testing; suggest changes to Monitoring surveillance, Policies, Procedures and Programs.
  • Ensure that the company complies with industry laws and regulations.
  • Examine the business’s practices and policies.
  • Regularly review and research governing authorities’ current rules and regulations
  • Oversee compliance programs and generate audit reports with efficiency.
  • Assess risks and interpret their implications on the organization in terms of legal, financial, business, and reputation.
  • Examine the company’s practices and policies to identify any compliance issues.
  • Collect data at every stage of the compliance plan to understand the differences made and track progress.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Compliance Analyst
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • ACAMs or ICA or other industry leading certification will be considered as an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT and sanctions risks and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and present the findings in a structured manner.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and attention to details.
  • A FinTech background is a plus.
