Construction Procurement Officer (CPO) will be responsible to oversee the procurement of construction related materials, services and equipment. The CPO will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products and services and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and meets the specified technical and quality standards. The CPO will follow all procurement procedures and maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow and ensure compliance with the Company’s Procurement Policies and Procedures. Where applicable policies not in place, establish the policies and procedures

Comply with Procurement Schedules for the purchase of equipment, services and materials

Coordinate transportation of materials to project sites

Create and maintain good relationships with all vendors/suppliers
-
Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets

Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts including development of flamework agreements

Maintain and update supplier information such as track record, experience, product lines etc.

Maintain records of all purchases, pricing and other important data

Create Local Purchase Orders and associated contracts
Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Procurement/Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any related field
-
Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Procurement Officer or a related position

Experience in the construction industry

Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.)

Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solution

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently

Attention to detail, goal-oriented, organized, team player
