Under the supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning Specialist, the scope of work for the consultant will include but not limited to:
- Develop a study protocol
- Write a publishable survey report
DELIVERABLES:
The deliverables for the consultant will include:
- To develop a studyprotocol for the assignment.
- Develop data collection tools.
- Develop a comprehensive report on the findings of the survey and recommendations.
DURATION:
The Consultancy will be for 10 – 15 days, from July – August 2024.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Masters degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Epidemiology, or related field.
- Proficiency in research methodology, data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R), and qualitative analysis tools (e.g., NVivo).
- Proven experience in designing and conducting surveys, developing data collection tools, and writing comprehensive, publishable reports.
- In-depth understanding of HIV/AIDS, particularly among youth and in higher education settings, including various testing methods (self-testing, index testing, VCT).
- Experience engaging with government bodies, NGOs, and community organizations, and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage time effectively, work in diverse cultural contexts, and adhere to ethical research standards.
