The purpose of Q4H is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Government of Ghana (GoG) to promote and oversee improved quality health services in the public and private sectors. This four-year activity supports the GoG and stakeholders, including both recipients (or civil society) and providers of services, to sustainably improve the quality of health service delivery to improve health outcomes in Ghana.
The consultant will work under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) and provide support to the Finance & Grants Manager and Accountant in maintaining and documenting financial records throughout the assignment.
Consultancy objectives:
URC is looking for a short-term consultant for a finance assistant role. S/he will support the project finance department for the projected duration of this consultancy. S/he will ensure the backlog of vouchers is scanned and ready to be uploaded onto the URC finance platform. The 40 hours of support per month will be needed in and around the last week of each month.
Specific tasks:
Support the finance department’s submission of Q4H’s monthly finance report to home office, including scanning of vouchers.
Archive vouchers in the designated storage space.
Assist the Q4H finance department in organizing monthly vouchers in sequential order and ensuring accurate numbering to capture all transactions for the reporting period, enabling the timely submission of the monthly finance report to the home office.
Deliverables:
Prepare a monthly report detailing the status of vouchers that have been scanned and archived, along with
a list of vouchers that have been scanned and those still pending scanning and archiving.
Qualifications:
Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field,
Minimum of 1 year of experience. Strong proficiency in computer applications and operation of copy machines.
