Job description

The consultancy aims to finalize all documentation relating to the submission of the MOWIP taking into account feedback from the Elsie Secretariat, under the supervision of UN Women and UNDP.

More specifically, it will involve:

– Establishing contact with the focal points of the Armed Forces who have taken part in the proposal development workshops to date in order to plan working sessions, with the support of UN Women.

– Reviewing all the documentation with the focal points and making the recommended adjustments and additions. This documentation includes: The Prodoc, and annexes consisting of: Technical Proposal (A), Workplan Timeline (B), Budget (C) Project Risk Assessment (D).

– Finalizing all documentation and submit to UN Women for further processing.

Deliverables

  • Inception report;
  • Draft of the PRODOC
  • The Prodoc and annexes of the Armed Forces MOWIP are enriched and finalized on the basis of the feedback received;
  • All documentation is available and ready for transmission to the Elsie Secretariat.

  • Teamwork (Ability to interact effectively with Armed Forces focal points and UN partners to organize working sessions and gather the necessary information.

Education and Certification:

  • At least a Master’s degree in economics, Social sciences, Anthropology, Philosophy or a related field

Experience:

  • At least 05 years of professional experience in the areas of expertise listed above
  • Solid skills and experience (5 years) in peacekeeping operations;
  • Strong communication skills and experience (5 years) in the field mentioned above
  • Strong skills and experience in drafting quality project documents;
  • Good oral and written communication skills,
  • Excellent level of English and French (oral and written)
  • Good knowledge of gender analysis and mainstreaming.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and French is required.
