AFRIpads is looking for a Consumer Pilot Lead who is hands-on, resourceful, and highly execution-focused to lead an innovative consumer market pilot in Uganda. This role will test various commercial strategies for directly reaching consumers with AFRIpads’ products. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, field-oriented professional with experience in consumer market insights and sales strategy. This is a unique opportunity to drive impact through direct action, experimentation, and real-time learning in the field.

This role will take the lead in driving the project forward. It combines strategic planning—deciding which channels to target, setting pricing, and crafting effective marketing tactics—with hands-on execution. You’ll be responsible for implementing the pilot on the ground in Uganda, bringing to life the plan that you co-create. You’ll also manage and guide a team of two sales representatives who will support you in the rollout.
What can you expect?
- An initial position for the duration of the project, which is 7 months with the possibility of extension
- Start per February 2025
- Based in AFRIpads HQ in Kampala with travel within Uganda to visit the pilot participants
- Reports to the Chief Commercial Officer
- A balance between strategic, analytical and hands on executional work
- Full ownership of the consumer pilot and it’s outcomes
- Working alongside strategy consultants who are supporting you on the strategic part of the pilot
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the pilot, incl. supervising a small field team
- The chance to make a significant impact on women’s health and empowerment in Africa
- Competitive salary
