The successful candidate will be responsible for the following Duties and Responsibilities;

– Administer and maintain the core banking application to ensure its reliability, availability, and performance.
– Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
– Implement system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to banking operations.
– Provide technical support and resolve issues related to core banking applications.
– Act as a point of contact for end-users, addressing system-related queries and problems.
– Coordinate with software vendors for advanced technical support and problem resolution.
– Configure and customize the core banking system to meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
– Develop and implement system enhancements and new functionalities in alignment with business needs.
– Plan and execute testing of new features, system updates, and integrations to ensure they meet quality standards and do not disrupt existing operations.
– Support the implementation of new modules, features, and integrations with other banking systems.
– Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
– Provide training and support to end-users on the core banking system’s features and functionality.
– Ensure that the core banking system adheres to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
– Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive banking data and maintain system integrity.
– Participate in and manage projects related to core banking system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
– Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
– Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of core banking systems Oracle FLEXCUBE, SQL, and system integration concepts.
– 3 to 5 years of experience in managing and supporting core banking applications or similar financial systems.
– Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
– Knowledge of banking processes and financial products.
– Experience with system integration projects.
– Relevant certifications (Certified Information Systems Auditor, ITIL) is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
– Experience with project management methodologies and tools is an added advantage. Reports to: Head of Information Communications Technology.
