The responsibilities for this role include:

 Cost Analysis

• Collecting and analyzing cost data related to the of tech materials or services.
• Developing, tracking, and reporting on standard costs for labor, materials, and overheads.
• Monitoring acquisition and recharge processes to ensure costs are within budget and identify variances.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Preparing cost forecasts and budgets for the Tech Department.
• Working closely with the operations and production teams to track actual costs against budgeted values.
• Providing recommendations for cost-saving opportunities based on findings.

Inventory Management:

• Monitoring and analyzing raw material and finished goods inventory.
• Helping maintain accurate inventory records and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
• Ensuring that inventory is appropriately valued, and accounted for
• Reconciliation of inventory movement. i.e. what stock has gone out / returned /not fully utilized

Costing Systems & Reporting:

• Implementing and maintaining costing systems that accurately reflect cost structures.
• Generating and preparing cost reports, highlighting key insights, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes with relevant cost data.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Assisting in ensuring that the company’s financial practices comply with industry regulations and accounting standards.
• Assisting with internal & external audits related to cost management and accounting processes.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborating with department heads (e.g., operations, finance) to ensure accurate costing and reporting.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements related to cost control and financial reporting

The Required Qualifications are:

 Full grade 12 Certificate

Professional Qualification such as ACCA 2, CA Level 2 , ZICA Diploma in Accountancy , CIMA Level 2

2+ years of Accounting / Finance experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ( pivot tables, v-lookups, and other financial formulas)

Experience with Pastel evolution
