Key Duties and Responsibilities:
▪ Provide targeted HIV screening & testing services, quality Pre-ART/ adherence and IACS counseling for newly enrolled and established clients in care.
▪ Work closely with health workers and expert clients to provide or mobilize clients for TB, PrEP in MCH, cancer cervix, NCDs literacy, screening & treatment services.
▪ Offer quality and client centered psychosocial support to caregivers of children, adolescents & adult PLHIV in care clients and their families.
▪ Work with community health workers to support client linkages to ART/TB Treatment, retention & completion of treatment and adherence for sustained viral load suppression.
▪ Work with facility health workers to sustain a good appointment and follow up system
Person Specifications:
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
• HIV/AIDS Counselling Certificate or diploma in Counselling and Guidance •
Medical training in nursing or midwifery will be an added advantage
• Experience and willingness to work in rural health facilities
• Knowledge and understanding of most current MOH HIV/TB guidelines and donor priorities
• Must have knowledge and understanding of the local language.
