What You Will Do
Designing and revising curriculum materials:
● Work closely with our Education Specialist and strategic partner to align curriculum with the national syllabus in Zambia as well as the local context
● Find and curate new resources and materials for teachers to use in their classrooms, ensuring they have access to high-quality educational materials.
● Work with eLearning and blended learning tools in low-resource settings to leverage technology effectively.
Support teacher development in the use of curriculum resources:
● Conduct workshops and training sessions to equip teachers with the skills needed to implement eLearning and blended learning effectively.
● Support teacher coaching and professional development to enhance their instructional skills and confidence in using new technologies.
● Work with teachers to understand the impact of curricula changes and improve program effectiveness, explicitly looking at data and student-level outcomes. Partner with educational stakeholders to integrate innovative practices
● Work in partnership with the operations team managing the technological aspects of our eLearning program
Support relationship-building with local education representatives to ensure alignment with national education standards and policies.
● Help build capacity of our team as well as other partners in the field to build learner-centered methods into teaching practice.
Who you’ll be working with
Impact Network has a growing Zambia-based curriculum team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Education, Education Specialist, and Curriculum Coordinators to develop and oversee the content curation and curriculum
alignment.

Qualifications for this role include:
1. A champion for Impact Network’s mission and core values. You have a desire to improve the education quality in rural Africa and a deep commitment to the belief that all students deserve a quality education – from early childhood
through secondary.
2. A formidable content curator and lesson planner. You have experience working with eLearning platforms such as Khan Academy and Mwabu, ideally in lowresource settings. You are able to find and curate high-quality educational content and resources for teachers. You can ensure our curriculum team can design top-notch lesson plans, stay updated with new resources, and adapt
lessons based on feedback.
3. A collaborative spirit: You have experience training and capacity-building in a small team, ensuring proficiency with learning platforms and alignment of content with a national syllabus. You have a great ability to formulate structured guidelines for a team to follow and learn from. You have superior
communication and organizational skills.
4. Primary Pedagogy Pro: You have extensive experience in structured pedagogy for primary education. You are proficient in creating dynamic and engaging learning experiences that cater to the developmental needs of young learners.
You can look at student and teacher data to understand how to shift resourcing and supports to further improve educational outcomes.
5. A teacher trainer at heart: You have the ability to support and train teachers in using eLearning platforms and develop a strategy for the long-time support of teachers and coaches. You have a proven track record of devising strategies for ongoing support and professional development for teachers and managers.
6. A love of Zambia: Ideally, you have experience working with the Zambian curriculum and a familiarity with the national syllabus. You have seen or experienced Zambian schools in some capacity.
7. Education Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
(Master’s preferred).
Compensation
Compensation range is commensurate with experience, and dependent on location, with opportunities for salary progression after a successful year.
