Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Clearance Supervisor to manage and oversee the customs clearance process for the company’s import and export operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing clearance efficiency, and mitigating potential risks while fostering strong relationships with customs authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Review import/export documentation for accuracy and completeness, resolving document-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain strong communication with customs, inspection, and quarantine authorities to address clearance issues effectively.
  • Ensure all import and export operations comply with customs regulations and conduct regular compliance reviews.
  • Train team members on customs clearance knowledge and processes to improve team professionalism.
  • Analyze customs clearance data, providing insights and suggestions to optimize efficiency.
  • Assess potential customs clearance risks and develop countermeasures to address them.
  • Stay updated with changes in customs policies and adjust operational processes accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree or above in International Trade, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customs clearance or related fields; experience as a customs clearance supervisor is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of customs regulations, import/export processes, and international trade policies.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external organizations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex clearance issues.
  • Proficient in office software and customs clearance-related systems; data analysis expertise is a plus.
