Responsibilities
General responsibilities of the Data Center Manager:
- The Manager, Data Center Operations has overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to the day-to-day support of the data centers.
- Reporting to ECAE and beneficiary institutions
- Managing the Data center team
- Ensuring smooth functioning of the data center
- Implementing policies and procedures
- Liaising with the beneficiary institutions and ICT departments
- Propose alternative solutions for DC upgrading and scalability (Storage, Speed, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues within the data center and physical infrastructure
- Train all team members
Requirements
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology/ Management Information System or Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer engineering/ Electrical and Computer Engineering/ Communications and Network Engineering/ Electronic Communication Engineering from recognized university/ college.
- Minimum 10 years of network, system engineering experience in a data center environment
- At least 3 years of experience managing staff
- Experience with Unix, Windows Server, enterprise storage. networking equipment
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNP
- Certificate on VMware, Exchange Server 2019, SQL Server 2019
