Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the data products function, setting the direction for data as a valuable asset to the organization and fostering a data-driven culture.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy aligned with our overall business objectives and create and maintain data product roadmaps.
- Manage a dedicated team of Data Product Owners and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and engage with key stakeholders to align data product development with organizational goals.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain the quality and integrity of our data products and effectively manage associated risks.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to gauge the success and impact of our data products.
- Lead and foster collaboration with various teams, including data analysts, data engineering, machine learning, and business units.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to keep us at the forefront of data innovation and evaluate how data products influence our overall performance.
- Drive innovation in data product development by exploring new technologies and methodologies and promote talent development within the data products function.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Product Manager, including experience with local, remote, and contracted partners in a distributed team environment.
- Strong expertise in process engineering, process flow design, and documentation, with a focus on data structure/architecture, UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface), and design best practices.
- Exposure to developing CRM applications, including setting up governance, best practices, standards, and change management processes.
- Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Deep understanding of digital platforms and their ability to address user needs.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to convincingly present ideas to diverse audiences.

The gross monthly salary bracket for this position is R113,275 – R141,593 in South Africa, and Ksh632,186 – Ksh790,233 in Kenya, plus benefits.
