Job Purpose:
The role holder will be responsible for leading the adoption and championing of AI strategy across the bank. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between advanced analytics and business value,
ensuring AI initiatives are aligned with strategic goals and embraced across departments.
Key Result Areas:
• Champion the adoption of AI in the bank, promoting awareness, understanding, and trust in AI-driven solutions.
• Conduct workshops, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions on AI topics.
• Lead the development and deployment of AI models, ensuring
scalability and ethical compliance.
• Develop and deploy predictive models for credit scoring, fraud detection, churn prediction, and customer lifetime value.
• Develop data visualization dashboards that enable business to quickly draw conclusions and make sound decisions.
• Analyse large datasets from core banking systems, CRM, and digital channels to uncover actionable insights.
• Identify and prioritize AI use cases aligned with business objectives.
• Leverage ML models to automate reports for business process optimization.
• Ensure data requirements for every project are initiated from inception to completion.
• Ensure consolidation of all data in a data warehouse, where it’s secure and readily available.
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices.
Financial Responsibility:
• Responsible for controlling costs within agreed Business
Technology budget.
Person Specification
Education & Training:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or any other related field.
• Proficiency with one or more programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, C++, R.
• AI fundamentals Certification from a recognized institution would
be an added advantage.
Skills & Experience:
• At least 3 years’ work experience in a data driven environment.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics, Qlik and Looker.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, model lifecycle, and
MLOps.
• Command of Project Management Methodologies. Business Behaviours:
• Strong understanding of banking operations, Fintech, and product
development trends.
• Leadership, negotiations, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged.
