Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of a digitally connected transport tailored to our transport logistics needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams and solution providers to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data sources.
- Establish and maintain real-time visibility into the movement of shipments, utilizing GPS tracking, RFID, and other relevant technologies.

- Develop and manage dashboards that provide comprehensive insights into the status and location of each shipment.
- Utilize data analytics to optimize transportation routes, minimizing costs, reducing transit times, and enhancing fuel efficiency.
- Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and carriers to enhance communication and coordination across the logistics network.
- Foster strong relationships with technology vendors to stay updated on advancements and explore innovative solutions.
- Proactively identify potential risks in transportation operations and develop contingency plans to ensure minimal disruptions.
- Implement monitoring mechanisms for early detection of issues and swift response strategies.
- Efficient management of all local Control Tower operations to provide a high standard of service to our client.
- Attend and present the service provider scorecards and discrepant cost report at the monthly KPI meeting.
- Ensure that the CSAs are closed and that there are no outages.
- Manage all queries and respond on time to all internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain Local liner contacts.
- Manage proper control over SOPs and updating thereof.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 5+ years in logistics operations, with a focus on digital control tower implementation and management.
- A sound exposure to Oracle, ERP’s, SAP R/3, and SCI.
- Knowledge of transport and logistics systems as well as a logistics work process.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and transportation management systems.
- Proven track record of planning and routing.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards.
- Well-organized individuals and results-oriented.
