BRAC International (BI) is seeking a Deputy Manager, Content and Knowledge Management in Bangladesh who is aligned with it’s ethos of working in partnership with communities to create impact for scale. The Deputy Manager, Content and Knowledge-management at BI will provide content and research related communications support to BRAC International’s communication team in the Head Office, Regional Office and country teams. S/he will support in developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance the organisation’s visibility, promote its initiatives, and engage stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen understanding of social media trends, strong research skills and the ability to create compelling content. S/he will also ensure that the core values and mission of BI are upheld, promoted, followed, and applied across Communications department in Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in developing high-quality content for various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather information and insights for content creation.
- Support in planning the production of engaging written and visual packages and multimedia content for BRAC International programmes
- Ensure knowledge-management between various programmes and teams and create a collateral repository to guide content creation
- Develop communication materials for events, including invitations, programmes, and promotional materials
- Support the planning, development, and execution of strategic communication campaigns aligned with BRAC’s mission and objectives.
- Foster good working relationships with other communications teams across BRAC ecosystem,effectively manage ongoing relationships with key internal teams, ensuring that they are fully supported with communications needs.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Implement programme decisions keeping the safety and dignity of programme participants/clients at the center, mitigate safeguarding risks and contribute to a safe working environment where staff are respected and feel confident to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
- Receive mandatory training on the safeguarding policies and reporting channels and have access to policies.
- Participate in discussions on the safeguarding agenda in monthly meetings and actively voice concerns without fear.
- Report safeguarding incidents witnessed or experiences to the Safeguarding department. For known cases, maintain neutrality, be sensitive and non-judgemental to victims/survivors, and cooperate with organisational investigations providing accurate information as needed.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university preferably in English, Journalism or Social Sciences

- Knowledge of BRAC, its history, its programmes and culture
- Knowledge of content development, research, strategising campaign and event execution
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent writing and facilitation skills.

- High competency in self-management, and the ability to break strategic guidance down into action items
- Comfortable working across a number of sectors, developing new domain knowledge
- Ability to work across cultures, with external stakeholders, international colleagues, etc.
- Resourceful in finding opportunities and ability to learn new technologies easily
- Should be curious, constantly learning; adaptive
- Highly mobile & flexible to work from distant location.
- Overseeing and travel to project site when required.
- Possess high ethical and moral standards.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 02 years’ experience in communications, public relations, media, journalism related field.
