The Deputy Team Leader will contribute to the management and technical direction of the EPD Support Programme. They will lead on aspects of implementation and deliverables, including ensuring that the programme consistently provides high-quality, demand-driven technical support. They will contribute to all technical, management and contractual decisions. They will manage the consultant roster. They will deputise for the Team Leader as required.
Core Requirements:
- 5-8 years of management experience, ideally if FCDO Health programmes.
- Background and technical expertise related to health system strengthening, with a focus on aspects of RMNCH and gender-responsive programming in Africa and Asia; experience with at least one of the EPD countries is ideal.
- Experience managing medium-sized, multi-country projects.
- Experience in providing in quality assurance is preferred; this includes reviewing concept notes, advising on project designs, providing input to assessments, and peer reviewing.
- Experience working with FCDO is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent management and organismal skills.
- Excellent representation and interpersonal skills, both in-person and remotely.
- Proficiency in English required. Proficiency in French ideal.
- Be based and have the right to work in any of the following countries: UK, DRC, Kenya, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Nepal.
