The Digital Health Systems Assistant must be enthusiastic and dedicated to support the Digital Health Systems Officer in their mission to revolutionize healthcare delivery for our frontline peer counsellors, supporting children and adolescents living with HIV. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative technologies that enhance the work of our peer counsellors and improve healthcare outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities

As the Digital Health Systems Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Digital Health Systems Officer and other IT team members. Your responsibilities will include:
• Technology Development and Implementation:
o Work alongside the Digital Health Systems Officer to help develop and deploy Digital Health Care solutions.
o A keen interest in new technology such as AI, and its application into Digital Health Systems.
o Proficiency in programming languages and data analytics (e.g. Python, R, PowerBI) and awareness of AI/ML frameworks.
• Training and Support:
o Train end-users (including peer counsellors) on using digital health systems effectively.
o Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and address user queries related to the technology.
• Security and Compliance:
o Ensure digital health systems meet security and privacy compliance obligations.
o Implement security protocols, conduct regular audits, and address vulnerabilities promptly.
• Device Configuration:
o Configure end-user devices (computers, tablets, smartphones) to ensure seamless integration with the digital health systems.
o Optimize device settings for performance, security, and user experience.
• Respond to Support Tickets:
o Manage support tickets related to the digital health systems promptly and efficiently.
o Prioritize and resolve issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field.
• Minimum two years’ experience working in a digital health capacity and supporting MOHCC facilities and activities.
• A keen interest in new technology such as Artificial Intelligence
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• An innovative mindset and a willingness to explore novel solutions.
• A commitment to making a positive impact on healthcare delivery.
