The successful applicant shall:
a. provide legal advice on all University matters;
b. draft, review or interpret all agreements involving the
c. University;
d. draft, review or interpret policies involving the University;
e. represent or ensure appropriate representation of the University in dispute
resolution proceedings, including out-of-court settlements.
f. supervise all external legal services provided to the University to ensure
that they meet the highest possible standards;
g. facilitate the work of disciplinary boards or committees and provide legal
support in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings;
h. facilitate the work of the Appeals Board of the University;
i. facilitate the work of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the University;
j. serve on relevant planning and policy making committees of the
University;
k. review University initiatives, decisions and processes for legal compliance
l. perform any other functions that the Council or the Vice-Chancellor may
assign.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
The successful candidate must have:
a. A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
b. A postgraduate degree in Law
c. Be enrolled at the Ghana Bar Association
d. Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience, at least 6 years of
which should be at the managerial level
e. substantial litigation experience
f. proven leadership and administrative abilities, demonstrated by substantial
and relevant work experience; evidence of coordinating work of units,
sections or teams; ability to initiate policies; and ability to mentor.
