A reputable Public Service Organisation invites applications from eligible individuals for the following position: Director of Human Resource Management and Administration

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops a strategic recruitment and selection plan for the organisation, internal audit units and public institutions
• Develops the organisation’s strategic training and capacity development plans
• Oversees the design and development of compensation management programmes
• Evaluates and recommends improvements to benefit programs
• Develops and coordinates grievance procedure and meditate workplace disputes
• Evaluates procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management
• Reviews and recommends an organisational structure and staffing levels to accomplish the organisation’s goals and objectives
• Evaluates the organisation’s culture and provide recommendations or changes for improvement in line with its mandate
• Oversees the development and improvement of scheme of service and conditions of service for staff retention
• Leads, coordinates and supervises the development of human resources policies, procedures and guidelines
• Works with Divisional Heads / Unit Managers and Corporate staff to develop strategic business plans for the organisation
• Maintains appropriate environment for good industrial relations and staff welfare
• Designs and implements performance management systems
• Facilitates the development of welfare and safety policies in the organisation
• Submits annual staff performance report and training plans for approval
• Serves as the chief human resource advisor to the Director-General and his/her Deputies
• Monitors the performance of subordinates
• Coaches, mentors and provides on-the-job training for subordinates

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM), or its equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Institution
• A post-graduate qualification in HRM and
• A certified member of a Professionally recognised body e.g CIHRM
• A minimum of 10 years of post (professional or post-graduate) qualification relevant working experience in a reputable public sector organisation, 5 years of which must be at the Senior Management level in the public or private sector
• Be computer literate and appreciate the application of computer tools to human
