The district coordinators report to the Intervention Manager (IM) and their main responsibilities will be as follows:
Specific results areas:
The district coordinators (1 per district – Kigoma, Kasulu, Kibondo) will work as transversal support staff based in the districts, to support the IM, Experts and Officers in assuring the following aspects of the intervention:
Clear and efficient communication between the intervention and the different stakeholders at district level, in particular with the local government and the district authorities
Participatory planning of the different activities (stakeholders, intervention staff)
Practical support during the implementation of the different result areas of the intervention (e.g. preparation of workshops, trainings, meetings, visits, etc.)
Problem-solving of practical issues that may arise.
Regular reporting on the progress of the intervention in the district
Timely feedback to the IM and experts on (potential) issues that arise at the district level with negative impact on the implementation.
Quality assurance of the implementation of the intervention
Expected results of the function:
Contribute to the smooth implementation of the intervention in the districts through good planning, close monitoring, timely reporting and practical problem solving.
Ensure synergy and complementarity between the interventions (ex. Ensuring community mobilization activities are linked to the intervention areas of the schools, training centres and entrepreneurship)
Ensure coordination with other civil society, government and private sector interventions, ensuring complementarity and avoid overlap.
Support the officers staff members in:
Collection of data for the planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning framework, research, etc. At district level
Roll out of communication and awareness raising campaigns.

Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor degree social studies in context of sub-Sahara Africa
Specific competences or knowledge required:
Good communication and negotiation skills and consensus oriented
Good planning and monitoring skills
Practical mindset and solution oriented
Specific competences or knowledge considered an asset:
Experience working on gender equality, including Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) prevention, economic empowerment, education.
Understanding and experience working with local governments (district, ward and village level)
Knowledge of survey and data collecting methods and tools
ICT and tech-savvy
Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili
