Nature and Scope
- Dosifier Technician will manage, direct, and install electrical wiring and installation for all dosifiers and ensure all dosifiers are fully functional to meet all requirements with high-quality standards. He/she will review and compare pricing, document materials needed and used, and track changes to plans, and regularly report on repairs (keep a daily log, send a weekly repair report).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the repair process of dosifiers, including keeping a daily log of all dosifier repairs that is submitted weekly
- Prepare weekly and monthly report on all technical activities
- Train other staff on how to make simple repairs
- Continually improve upon repair process
- Develop strategy for doing repairs across Kenya
- Work with Business Development Managers to coordinate all repairs with millers
- Test devices/dosifiers for improvement, safety, and quality control
- Update/Upgrade older dosifiers systems for changes, cost reductions, improvements, safety, and quality control.
- Repair broken dosifiers, equipment and wiring
- Manage all onsite installed dosifiers, repair, maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Perform and analyze tests to track results and make improvements on dosifiers
- Work with other technicians and making recommendations on repairs
- Perform calibrations for wire placement and electronic components for dosifiers
- Responsible for all required electrical qualification tests in the office and ensuring compliance with all outside parties involved
- Participate in test runs and meeting safety regulations
- Modify systems to be environmentally friendly
- Ensure that repair equipment is kept in a safe, secure, and clean environment
Competences Requirements
- Can read schematics and mechanical designs.
- Electrical engineering experience preferred
- Strong English oral/written language skills
- A demonstrated passion for Sanku mission.
Education Qualifications and Work Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering. or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical/electrical engineering.
- Electrical maintenance experience preferred.
