• Carrying out initial investigations and regular site visits on both surface and underground sites.

•Generating original engineering design layouts, models using measurements, standard specifications and additional data from engineering team.

•Receiving work from superiors and discuss brief work details, allocate and track duties assigned to draughtsmen while ensuring set targets are met.

•Coordinating directly with Structural Engineer & Section Engineer to analyse design sketches and produce detailed technical drawings.

•Regularly updating Section Engineer/ Structural Engineer on draughting time and report progress on various projects.

Understanding project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications in line with company standards and best practices.

•Reviewing all mechanical/structural drawings generated by draughtsmen to ensure they meet engineering standards.

• Enforcing improvement of standards in the Drawing Office.

• Maintaining high-level of discipline of subordinates.

• Staff development & training of interns and draughtsmen.

•Ensuring the surrounding and all machinery/equipment in the Drawing Office are clean and well maintained.

•    Conducting site visits and liaise with end users.

•    Effective planning and allocation of duties to draughtsmen.

•    Grade 12 Certificate.

•    Technician Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Draughting.

•    Certificate in Mechanical/Structural Steel Engineering Draughting.

•    AutoCAD.

•    Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

•    Revit.

•    Proficient in AutoCAD (2D and 3D Modelling).

•    Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word).

•    At least 3 years of experience in Mechanical Draughting.

•    Innovative and keen on personal development.
