Responsible for transporting organizational cargo and personnel from one location to another and ensuring that all traffic laws are adhered to.
Duties and Tasks
- Ensure all aspects of vehicle policy are being followed and enforced during any assignments.
- Signal any sign of need for maintenance or other problem with the vehicle to the HR and Administrative Office
- Ensuring safety features and tools of the vehicle are available and on good working order.
- Updates logbook by indicating the date, mileage, and purpose of the journey.
- Checks oils, lubricants, water, tyre pressure; lights, wipers and any other parts that need checking before starting the vehicle off on daily basis to ensure the vehicles are road worth.
- Compiling logbooks and generating fuel analysis reports
- Check that vehicles are properly insured and that all road licenses/taxes are valid.
- Ensure vehicle is always kept secure and clean.
- Strictly observe Traffic Rules and Regulation and maximum speed limit as prescribed by the laws of Malawi.
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with the procurement, data entry, checking inventory and monitor / replenish office supplies & materials.
- To drive Sparkle Officers and other programme beneficiaries when need arises, such as transporting sick children to the hospital.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a valid Malawi Driving license , minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education with an ability to speak and understand English.
Those with a motorbike driving license will have added advantage
