To be responsible for ensuring that goods are moved within and outside the warehouse and storage yards in a safe, efficient and proper manner, that stock and non-stock goods/items are maintained during handling without damage and up-holding good housekeeping practices.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

• Accurately loading and unloading of trucks with the use of a folk lift
• Maintain the integrity of goods through the proper handling and storage.
• Control and ensure safe operation of a folk lift.
• Stack and retrieve goods at the specified locations in a safe manner.
• Ensure periodic light vehicle/equipment service maintenance is complied with.
• Keep the light vehicles/Truck clean inside and outside.
• Carry out equipment/light vehicles daily checks and inspections.
• Responsible for ensuring that goods are moved within the warehouse and storage yard in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pack and load goods onto delivery vehicles according to safety specifications
• Deliver or collect goods/orders from customers on assigned delivery points.
• Ensuring that inventory is maintained without damage and good housekeeping practices upheld.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
• SADC Drivers license class C
• Professional Operators Driving License
• Knowledge of basic mechanics added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years working experience in similar activity
