ABOUT JUSTDIGGIT
If we bring back nature on a large enough scale, we can mitigate the worst effects of climate change. Together with farmers, pastoralists, and local partners, we cool down the planet by regreening dry and degraded land in Sub-Saharan Africa. We combine traditional and scalable nature-based solutions with data, communication and (mobile) technology. Our goal is not just to regreen Africa; it’s to grow an interconnected grassroots regreening movement that inspires people all over the world to DIG IN for our planet.

We currently have two main offices, in Amsterdam and Nairobi, and 60 passionate employees divided over 9 countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, Ethiopia, Togo, Madagascar, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Germany.

USING MOBILE TECHNOLOGY FOR REGREENING
• As mobile internet penetration increases and the use of smartphones gets more and more common in rural Africa, we see a big opportunity to spread the knowledge of regreening further.
• To be able to reach our goal of scaling our impact to 350 million farmers by 2030 we are building a Digital Regreening platform of which an app is the most important building block. We use this platform to educate and activate farmers to apply effective regreening methods.

YOUR ROLE
• You will be part of the Digital Regreening Team. Consisting of different nationalities and backgrounds, the team is currently building and launching an educational app with step-by-step regreening instructions. As Educational Content Editor your main focus is on how to best visualize the regreening method content in the learning center of the app. You will be working closely together with the digital community coordinator, content creators, copywriters and designers. Your base location is our office in Arusha.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gathering and selecting visuals for courses, app screens, social media posts Determining the optimal placement of visuals in relation to the copy
• Draft briefings for the video creator, photographer, 3D model designer for the creation of (AI) videos, illustrations and animations
• Upload content to the Learning Management System
• Coordinate various discussions and decisions regarding word choices

WHAT WE ASK
• At least 1 year of experience in content creation, preferably of educational materials Proven agricultural practical experience or environmental background
• You have a good command of Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro or equivalent software Basic knowledge of and experience with WordPress and the design tool Figma is preferable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You have an affinity for finding visuals and creating engaging content Proficiency in video editing skills is preferred
• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili Organizational and project management skills
