As an Electrician Technician, you shall be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical installations plants and equipment. You are also responsible for proper functioning of
electrical equipment for maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to read circuit diagrams and fix electrical installations as per diagrams.
Must be able to trouble shoot different types of commercial and industrial or kitchen electrical
equipment.
Analyzes drawings for the purpose of identifying location of new and existing electrical
systems and determining the efficient installation of additional systems.
Estimates materials and/or equipment needed to complete work projects for the purpose of
ensuring timely completion of projects.
Repairs electrical systems including communications, overloads, lighting fixtures, etc. (e.g. air
conditioners, kitchen equipment, fire alarms, pole lights, motors, motor controls, etc.) for the
purpose of ensuring proper/safe operation of equipment.
Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and
established safety guidelines.
Installs electrical systems (e.g. underground electrical conduit, fire alarms, switchboards, clock
systems, etc.) for the purpose of providing updated, enhanced and/or upgraded electrical
capabilities
Assist the procurement department in procuring equipment, supplies and materials for the
purpose of maintaining availability of required items and completing jobs efficiently.
Responds to emergency situations during and after work hours for the purpose of resolving
immediate safety concerns.
Troubleshoots repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors,
electric controls, fire alarms, and clock systems.
Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including all lights and
programmable lighting controls.
Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction.
Draw up schedule maintenance plans for servicing and installing electrical related equipment.
Ability to multi task and work in areas outside trade area when required.
Must work with high level of safety focus and familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts,
practices & procedure

Qualification Required & Experience
HND Electrical Engineering Minimum of 3years working experience.
Demonstrated basic skills and working experience in electrical systems.
Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to
perform in a fast-paced work environment.
Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in planned preventive maintenance
techniques.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
The ability to make decisions in a stressful environment.
