Plans and designs Water Supply and Sanitation and other Support infrastructure in line with company’s development plan. Prepare detail drawings for proposed and completed projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out desk reviews, data collection, reconnaissance surveys, market research, ergonomics review on existing infrastructure and engagement of key stakeholders for input into designs. Carry out data analysis for input into designs
- Prepare pre-feasibility and feasibility studies in collaboration with other stakeholders and immediate supervisor, develop project concepts and proposals. Designs and prepares final engineering working drawings in accordance with Engineering Standards, agreed targets and principals of universal design for proposed projects and infrastructure development and rehabilitation projects.
- Prepares and quantifies detailed chronological lists of project activities and estimates the costs for implementing all in-house construction projects.
- Carries out frequent site inspections during project implementation to ensure compliance to design drawings and bill items
- Amends working drawings to suit as built at completion of all in-house construction projects
- Compiles monthly progress reports for all construction projects
- Performs any other duties as delegated by superiors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- School Certificate
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or its Equivalent.
- Three years’ experience
- EIZ membership
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
