Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

• Participate in a continuous nursing coverage on Wards/Unites by receiving reports and effectively handing over to in-coming shift.
• Keep patients comfortable and ensure clean and safe environment.
• Give out treatment as prescribed and carry out nursing procedures.
• Carry out observations, keep records and ensure their safe custody.
• Receive patients, register admissions and discharges.
• Ensure that aseptic procedures are adhered to in the preparation of sterile procedures.
• Carry out Health Education to patients and their attendants.
• Participate in Primary Health Care activities.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Maintain close contact with patients
• Ensure confidentiality.
• Participate in ward rounds conducted by Clinicians.
