Education:

• Master’s degree in International Development, Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Social Work, Humanities/Social Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
• University degree in above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:

• Experience in protection and/or MHPSS response programming in humanitarian context.
• Experience working with vulnerable groups, for example, survivors GBV, persons with disabilities, persons that have experienced trauma, etc.
• Experience and ability working in difficult locations for extended periods of time.
• Experience delivering trainings, providing guidance and supervising protection and/or MHPSS field teams is an advantage.
• Professional experience working on Protection GBV risk mitigation in crisis context.
• Experience in the development and/or implementation of protection mainstreaming and/or specialized protection programming.
• Experience in equivalent role in South Sudan is an advantage.

Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Good computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet software.
• Ability to be resourceful and flexible in a limited resource environment.

Languages:

• IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
• For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
