The Finance Manager will provide financial management support, monitoring, and coordination of activities within the framework of SAO U and ensure that all policies and procedures, donor regulations, accounting standards, and relevant national laws are complied with.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance Manager
Manage and monitor cash flows and the liquidity position of the organization to ensure SAO U meets its financial obligations in accordance with the Finance Policy and all SAO U financial requirements.
Lead programme plans and budgets in line with the
SAO U planning guidelines.
Monitor spending against approved budgets Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Maintenance of an up-to-date Asset register
Prepare and submit periodic financial reports, schedules, and tables in line with SAO U policies and statutory requirements to the National Director in time for review and submission.
Coordinate and facilitate the institutional audit and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
Maintenance of QuickBooks system and implement core and good discipline and practices.
Supervise, motivate, appraise finance and Accounts officers and build the capacity of Program Finance Officers in line with the Human Resource Policy and Finance Policy.
Contribute to strategic decisions through the Senior Management Team (SMT) and support to the Board.
Qualifications:
Unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ.
A master’s degree, preferably in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics, from a recognized university.
Must have membership in a reputable Professional Accountancy body such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
Experience:
Five years of similar working experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the NGO sector, with at least two years at the managerial level.
The job holder must be a hardworking, spiritually mature, focused and trustworthy individual that upholds a high sense of integrity and accountability and commitment to the vision, mission, values and aspirations of SAO Uganda
