Key Accountabilities
• Prepare financial reports and statutory accounts.
• Record, account, and report on business and financial transactions.
• Maintain subsidiary, control, and ledger accounts.
• Reconcile and manage outstanding items on cashbooks, bank accounts, accounts
payable, and accounts receivable.
• Undertake custody of fixed assets, including maintenance of a fixed asset register.
• Preparing and filing statutory returns
• Follow up on audit queries
• To carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements
Education
• BCom/BBA/BSc (Accounting/Finance option) or its equivalent from a reputable university.
• Full member of a Professional Accountancy Body (ACCA/CPA, U) is a requirement
Experience
• At least three (3) years of hands-on working experience gained while serving with a
reputable public, commercial, or donor-funded organisation, one of which must have been
acquired in a similar role.
Technical Expertise
• Excellent spreadsheet skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Computerized accounting packages.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem–solving skills.
