Role:
Finance Analyst
- Business partner to Market Operations, Sourcing and Sales teams on expense control, reporting, and analysis. Lead role for Sales, and Gross Margin- reporting and analysing, providing key analysis into the profitability of products and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support to the Manager, FP&A for the budgeting/forecasting process, month-end closing and variance analysis, cash flow modelling and various ad hoc projects
- Develop models to improve the efficiency and accuracy of expense forecasting
- Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
- Support operational improvements with financial analytics
- Participate in month-end close process including variance analysis of expenses and gross margin reconciliation
- Provide decision making support to drive business performance improvement
- Identify Risks and Opportunities within the business and provide Actionable analysis
Principal Outputs for the Role
- Timely and accurate reports for the business.
- Accurate and up to date financial information for the business
- Sound financial advice to the business unit heads
Qualifications-
Academic and Professional
- Bachelor’s Degree in science/economics/accounting/statistics or related fields
- Certified Accountant – CPA(K) or ACCA would be a plus but not mandatory
Experience
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in finance/analytics/accounting with at least 1 years as a Business analyst/Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst
- 1-2 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modelling
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Other MS applications
- Retail/Wholesale/FMCG experience
