Role:

Finance Analyst

  • Business partner to Market Operations, Sourcing and Sales teams on expense control, reporting, and analysis. Lead role for Sales, and Gross Margin- reporting and analysing, providing key analysis into the profitability of products and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support to the Manager, FP&A for the budgeting/forecasting process, month-end closing and variance analysis, cash flow modelling and various ad hoc projects
  • Develop models to improve the efficiency and accuracy of expense forecasting
  • Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
  • Support operational improvements with financial analytics
  • Participate in month-end close process including variance analysis of expenses and gross margin reconciliation
  • Provide decision making support to drive business performance improvement
  • Identify Risks and Opportunities within the business and provide Actionable analysis

Principal Outputs for the Role

  • Timely and accurate reports for the business.
  • Accurate and up to date financial information for the business
  • Sound financial advice to the business unit heads

Qualifications-

Academic and Professional

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science/economics/accounting/statistics or related fields
  • Certified Accountant – CPA(K) or ACCA would be a plus but not mandatory

Experience

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in finance/analytics/accounting with at least 1 years as a Business analyst/Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modelling
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Other MS applications
  • Retail/Wholesale/FMCG experience
