At Kijani Forestry, we partner with tens of thousands of farmers to restore forests, improve livelihoods, and protect the environment. Our fleet motorcycles, vehicles, and bicycles is the backbone of our operations, enabling our teams to deliver impact across Northern Uganda.
We’re looking for a Fleet Manager to provide strategic leadership, ensure operational excellence, and guide the long-term planning, safety, and efficiency of our fleet.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development for Kijani’s fleet operations.
Oversee the acquisition, allocation, and lifecycle management of all vehicles.
Drive initiatives to reduce operating costs while improving service quality.
Implement advanced fleet monitoring systems and performance analytics.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee compliance with all legal and safety standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop the fleet team to ensure high performance and accountability.
Oversee maintenance schedules, preventive care programs, and rapid incident response.
Report regularly to senior leadership on fleet KPIs, trends, and strategic improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Transport & Logistics, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years’ experience in fleet management, preferably in large-scale or multi-site operations.
Strong leadership, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
Proven ability to implement systems, policies, and processes that drive efficiency.
