Support the implementation of the Spotlight Initiative 2.0 UN Joint Programme for the Promotion of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment activities, ensure UNFPA comprehensive contribution to final reports, support GTG and CPG meetings including ensuring timely compilation of agenda and minutes. In order to ensure there is continuity in programme delivery and sustainability of interventions, UNFPA seeks to recruit a consultant who will be responsible for the following:
You would be responsible for:
Spotlight Initiative 2.0:
- Support liaison and coordination activities with GRZ, other UN Agencies, and CSOs to maximize programme impact
- Working with GBV Analyst to provide supervision and technical support to implementing partners and sub-grantee
- Contribute to the Spotlight Initiative 2.0 visibility in inter-agency fora, high-level engagements in Zambia, and advocate for the programme objectives
GTG and CPG Meetings
- Working with state and non-state actors to strengthen coordination of the GBV response at national and sub-national levels
- Ensure GTG monthly meetings are held as scheduled and compilation and circulation of minutes is done timely
- Ensure CPG monthly meetings are held as scheduled and compilation and circulation of minutes is done timely
Protection Sector Meetings
- Participate in protection sector meetings convened by MCDSS and UNHCR
- Ensure note for the record is compiled for a series of meetings
- Provide input into protection sector appeals and any resource mobilization initiatives
- Monthly reports of all deliverables
Expected Outcomes
- Strengthened coordination of programme activities with government, contributing UN entities and civil society partners
- Timely and quality planning, implementation of and reporting on Spotlight 2.0 programme activities
- Capacity building interventions for service providers police, medical practitioners, social workers and faith leaders
Compilation of capacity building reports
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Gender, Development Studies, Public Health, Sociology or any other relevant social science.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience with programme/project planning, designing and management in the public or private sector, including international development assistance
- Previous experience in the field of gender and gender-based violence, working with the government ministries and departments at national sub-national levels
- English is required; knowledge of major local languages is an added advantage.
