Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Gender expert will carry out the following tasks:

Main responsibilities:

• Design the gender strategy in line with the project objectives;
• Ensure the implementation of the gender strategy and its action plans
• Ensure that gender is taken into account in all project activities;
• Strengthen the capacities of project stakeholders on gender and social inclusion;
• Participate in the development and implementation of studies to be carried out as part of this project;
• Support the development and implementation of a monitoring-evaluation system to take gender into account in project implementation
• Carry out a diagnosis on gender issues
• Perform any other task assigned by Management,

Required profile :

• A Master’s degree in social sciences, sociology, law, communication or any other similar field. A specialization in Gender Studies will be an asset;
• Proven experience of at least 3 years in leading activities and projects to integrate gender equality and human rights;
• Experience working in a multicultural context;
• Good knowledge of gender analysis and gender integration methods and tools;
• Good capacity in process animation and participatory planning;
• Ability to get the team to adhere to gender approach integration processes;
• Excellent writing and reporting skills;
• Dynamic and autonomous with a good spirit of initiative and creativity;
• Very good interpersonal skills and team spirit
