- Supervise the implementation and coordination of maintenance and asset management activities, ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment while aligning with operational and organizational goals.
As Part of Our Team You Will:
- Schedule, administer, and monitor maintenance activities to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Supervise, and support the operational supervisors in the safe running of the underground mine infrastructure.
- Work with Mechanical & Electrical General Forepersons in implementing asset management programs and initiatives.
- Assess asset performance metrics to solve inefficiencies and provide improvements.
- Implement standard methodologies to enhance asset performance, reduce costs, and prolong equipment lifecycle.
- Follow adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all asset management activities.
- Assist in handling and monitoring asset management budgets, ensuring effective cost control.
- Liaise with supervisors and contractors to follow compliance with systems, processes, and organizational goals.
- Administer QA/QC and continuous improvement initiatives for asset management activities.
- Deliver regular performance and status reports to the Superintendent, offering actionable recommendations.
- Assess and solve risks related to asset management, ensuring alignment with operational and safety standards.
Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- A Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or Processing.
- MINCOM Certificate of Competency (Superintendent / Sectional).
Additional Knowledge:
- Process operating experience, particularly with crushing plants, dewatering plant, primary ventilation fans, fridge plants, compressors etc.
- Project Management experience considered an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a mining environment, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervisory capacity.
