- The General Manager – Ride Now (GM-RN), is the highest-ranking Official in the Department of Ride Now which administers and coordinates the provision of the ride-hailing services at Code Base Uganda Limited.
- Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the GM-RN administers, coordinates, oversees and ensures the effective and efficient management of the day-to-day overall performance of the Department in the areas of revenue, profitability, expenditures, staffing, service, branding and future growth and development.
- The GM-RN is responsible for making strategic decisions and ensuring that Departmental Goals and Objectives are achieved as planned. He/she is also responsible for key Departmental: Business Initiatives, Strategies and Systems; Structure, Policies and Procedures; Human Resources, Finances, Goods and Services offered; Resource Mobilisation and Policy Implementation; overall Risk Management Initiatives and Mitigation Strategies; and guides the Department’s overall Strategic Direction.
- As the top most Department of Ride Now Administrator, Manager and Leader, the GM-RN is responsible for: ensuring the Department’s overall operational excellence, building a strong team of competent Departmental staff with the potential to delivering the desired Departmental targets, managing strategic partnerships; coordinating, organizing, and managing strategy, goal setting, work planning and execution, planning for staffing needs; and serves as a key liaison between the Departmental Staff and Senior Management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Management, Leadership, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, Computer Science or any other Computer Applications-related Courses, is a must.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing and/or Information Technology, Information Communication Technology or Computer Science is required.
- Extensive experience in leadership, management and administration of at least 10 years, 5 of which must have been at middle and/or senior level.
- Experience as General Manager, Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, or similar senior/middle management roles is required.
- Demonstrated success in leading and expanding private-sector enterprises, with preference for experience in the automobile industry and commercial motorcycle business.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Proven ability to effectively network through various telecommunication channels and social media.
- A track record for successfully building and leading teams to manage complex projects and initiatives
