Job description

As an Onsite Merchandiser, you will supervise the Jumia App and website and ensure efficient e-merchandising: maintain the site daily, challenge product assortment, catalog structure and navigation, and optimize the user experience to maximize conversion and usage as well as ensure outstanding quality of the content.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Owning the app & website front end from A-Z
  • Plan accordingly the home page content (category, campaigns, ecosystem, brands, advertising, etc.) and coordinate onsite capacity
  • Plan accordingly category and campaign page creation and optimization
  • Coordinate (incl. briefings) with designers to get best-in-class designs, with clear value propositions and follow group brand guidelines
  • Execute & apply all required changes for marketing & promotional campaigns on the back end (BOB)
  • Optimize onsite placements on a daily basis based on key performance indicators to get high exposure to the most relevant content
  • Track key business indicators and ensure regular reporting and feedback with high value-added analysis (shop, search, funnel performance…) and provide business-oriented insights to the relevant team (marketing, commercial, graphics)
  • Suggest, Implement, and try out new IT/technical features following the AB test
  • Be Creative and keep up to date with new e-commerce ideas and innovations to try

Who we´re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Computer Science, engineering)l with a clear analytical profile
  • Previous experience in e-commerce is a plus
  • Well-organized and rigorous, with a strong anticipation ability and attention to details
  • Customer-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and willingness to be immersed in a very international and entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel
  • Experience in CMS management
  • Knowledge of coding (HTML) and Photoshop is a plus
